Design Space

Well, we are a happy family of five, but it looks like my projects have taken over the house.  Unfortunately, we do not have a spare bedroom (actually, we're one short), and for this reason, and for other reasons, I've decided to try to find some studio space in town.  I found a great place that is a studio for pottery, and I asked them if I could use some space for my sewing studio, but alas, I have not heard back from them.  I'm also considering finding office space, but I just don't want a studio that is too far away from home, so that it becomes "inconvenient" for me to do what I love.

I spent the afternoon trying to make it work.  Between the laundry, paperwork, and kids, it feels nearly impossible to get anything done.  The reason why? Well, I believe in a clean, uncluttered exterior leads to a clean, uncluttered interior.  And it is in that environment when I am the most creative and productive.

Hubby thinks I'm crazy, but what's new? He married me because I'm a bit crazy.  He thinks it's a bad idea because it takes my work away from the home, and I might have some challenges, especially if I'm trying to create a baby-friendly workplace.  I may have neighbors who may not like the idea of a small child being in a professional, work environment, so I'm still trying to figure out a way to negotiate this territory.
